ACTIVITIES
Women’s Fellowship
The ladies gather monthly at 1 pm in Fellowship Hall. There is an activity or program that corresponds with recent holidays. The ladies enjoy fellowship with one another and are served a delicious dessert brought by one of the ladies. The Women's Group is very busy with other activities. They arrange meals for our families after a funeral and make candy and cookies to sell at Christmas to fund our various activities. They donate snack bags monthly to homeless families in the area through Found House (International Housing Network). They also organize a clothing drive each year to benefit Matthew 25 Ministries. Donations are taken year-round to benefit SON Ministries, the local food pantry.
Quilters
The Quilters at St Paul desire to keep the art of hand quilting alive! This is a small group of ladies that usually meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 until about 9pm. They are taking a break at the present time because they need a quilt to complete.
The quilters are willing to complete the quilt 'sandwich' for anyone who has the top of the quilt done. They do beautiful work! There is a cost for this service. The cost will depend on the quilt size and the materials needed to finish the quilt. The money made from the completion of quilts is donated to the church for special projects.
The quilters are willing to teach anyone who is interested in learning this lost art. Contact us if you have a quilt you would like finished.
Choir
St. Paul's choir will welcome anyone with the interest and ability to sing and have a good time!
From September through May (taking a break during the summer) the choir practices on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. They sing on Sundays during the worship service. The choir celebrates Easter and Christmas by performing Special Music Programs. They also participate in combined choir services - such as Good Friday Cantata at Groesbeck Methodist Church. Our choir director is Simon Olivares.
