SON Ministries Thanksgiving Meal Bags
Each October there are grocery bags with a specific grocery list attached for those who would like to shop and provide a Thanksgiving meal for our neighbors who are served by SON Ministries.  The bags are collected, blessed during a worship service, then delivered to SON Ministries for them to distribute to those who need it.

 

SON Ministries Souper Bowl of Caring
Every January we collect cans of soup to donate to SON Ministries so they can distribute to our neighbors in need.  On Super Bowl Sunday, folks in the congregation put the cans in boxes labeled with the names of the two teams in the game.  At coffee hour after worship, the final tally of donated cans identifies the team predicted by the congregation to win the game.  Our neighbors in need are the true winners.

 

Matthew 25 Medicine Bottle Recycling
Matthew 25 Ministries needs your empty pill bottles - tear the labels off and put them in the box in Fellowship Hall.  We have people who deliver them to Matthew 25 when we collect enough.  If the bottles are clean, have lids, and no glue residue, they will be shipped to developing countries for medical use.  If not clean or without a lid, bottles can still be shredded and used as packaging.  

 

Matthew 25 Ministries Clothing Drive
Women’s Fellowship organizes a clothing drive in March to benefit Matthew 25 Ministries.  Start your Spring cleaning or if you stick to your New Year’s resolution and need new clothes, don’t forget about the clothing drive.  Check on the St. Paul Facebook page for details.

 

Washington UCC Gifts for the Manger
Each year we are given a list of food and other items needed for the people served by Washington UCC for the Christmas season.  Fill a box yourself or find someone to help you fill the box to help those less fortunate.  Share your gifts!
