SPF Kids Children's Ministries
We partner with parents and guardians to help their children become rooted in faith so they can Shine the Light of Christ. Our Core VALUES are Love, Faith, and Fun.
-
LOVE // We are the family of God, loved as His children. As a response to God’s love, leaders love children with deep care and commitment. In turn, children will know God's love for them and their peers in this environment.
-
FAITH // Children are given the opportunity to experience God and the truth of His Word. He is their teacher. He grows their faith and He gives them hope. We are just facilitators of what God is doing. We pray that all SPF Kids become rooted in the Gospel.
-
FUN // We value active, creative fun! We are not seeking to entertain the children, but we want them to enjoy their experience at SPF Kids. Relationships are strengthened between children when they laugh and play together.
Prayer Shawl Ministries
Shawls, which have been made and used for centuries, are universal and embracing. They give solace, warmth and love. The talented ladies at St. Paul knit or crochet the shawls, then they are given to someone who has had surgery or is going through a tough time and could use prayers. Put your skills to work by making a shawl or if you would rather, you can donate yarn for the project.
Salvation Army Dolls
Volunteer in April to dress an 18 inch doll that will need to be finished by the end of September. All outfits must be handmade but you can buy shoes and accessories. You can dress her as a princess, a super hero, a soccer player, a bride, a ballerina, a girl in pajamas - whatever you want. Fix her hair and enjoy the time you spend with her. She will be displayed by the Salvation Army gathering later with hundreds of other dolls. Closer to Christmas parents will “shop” for their children and she will go to her new loving home.
Found House (formerly the Interfaith Hospitality Network)
Each month volunteers at St. Paul’s assemble approximately 40 bags of snacks/treats that are given to children to pack in their daily lunches. The parents attend workshops by Found House on how to find work and housing, and until work is found, how to cope with homelessness.
Price Hill Angels.
At Christmas, St. Paul volunteers donate money to buy gifts for children in Lower Price Hill who are unlikely, otherwise, to receive gifts at Christmas.
